Megan and James were married at St Mary’s Church in Pulborough and celebrated their reception at Dorset House, Bury. Coverage officially began a couple of hours before the ceremony, with Megan and the girls getting ready at her parents house in Watersfield. However we popped to the church to get a few location shots beforehand, in case we ran out of time later. Once at the house, there was time to get plenty of shots of the details, the stunning flowers from Amberlilys, the beautiful dress and the general goings on. Megan was almost ready, so after a couple of ‘make up’ shots she was straight into the dress. This was great, as I could get a few requested groups in the garden before heading back to the church. Just as I was leaving, the car arrived, a lovely white vintage Rolls Royce from E & B Knight. At the church, all the guests were arriving and we got a few shots with James, his best man and ushers as well as some candids too. The Vicar was great, and happy for me to shoot here and there, as long as he didn’t see or hear me lol. After the ceremony and a few photo’s at the church door, we headed over to Dorset House. Megan & James opted for coverage up to the wedding breakfast, which meant we needed to cover all of their photo’s before the meal. So we initially cracked on with their romantic portraits underneath the archway, by the old gate and down by the lake. Finally their ‘everyone’ shot and family groups were taken on the steps (naturally!). Once everyone was seated for the meal, we took a few around the tables before heading home. The day was generally dry, with only the lightest of showers here and there. However by the time we left, it was pretty wet, so timing was absolutely perfect!
