Here are just a few examples from the fabulous wedding of Vanessa and Tom at Old Thorns Manor Hotel in Liphook, Hampshire. Coverage began with the bridal preparations in one of the hotel rooms, which I covered in my usual fly on the wall style. Once it was time for the girls to get dressed, I slipped away to grab a few quick shots with Tom, the guys and some of the guests hanging out at the sports bar. Tom soon had to go and see the registrar, so I headed back to the girls for the final preparations. The weather was great and the ceremony room is lovely and bright, always a welcome sight for a wedding photographer. After the ceremony, Vanessa, Tom and parents held a receiving line as the guests grabbed a drink and made their way outside. We then took a ride in a golf buggy to three different locations around the golf coarse which was really nice, and I got some lovely shots of them together at the top of the coarse. It was a really busy day at Old Thorns, with lot’s of golfers about so we did our best to keep out of their way. When we returned to the guests, I set up the main ‘everyone’ shot which I took from up on the roof terrace. There was just enough time to clear a corner for some smaller group photos before the speeches and wedding breakfast began. In the evening we popped out to the front of the building for a few by the old telephone box, sun still blazing! The evening guests were now arriving and it was time for cake cutting and first dance.
