Katie and Mark were married at Hook House and we had the honour of being their wedding photographers for their special day. This was my first wedding at Hook House and I was disappointed to find that it was one of the last weddings to be held there. It is a lovely place with plenty of space and places to go for photos when you need shade or shelter, a real shame it’s going. Anyway, onto the day. Katie and the girls were getting ready at the hotel which is always great meaning I can come and go as and when I need to, starting with a few detail and preparation shots before going to find Mark and the guys. After lots of hot days it was pleasantly warm which was a blessing. The ceremony was lovely and afterwards we headed out for some groups before the wedding breakfast, there were lots of requested family groups and one of the bridesmaids came in particularly handy, kindly gathering guests for me (so if your reading this, thank you!). After the wedding breakfast we went for a walk around the hotel grounds with Katie and Mark for some nice shots of them together. The sun was nice and low which helped in making some lovely warm and moody shots. In the evening they had my funky photo studio which I set up outside the marquee.
