Here are just a few shots from the lovely wedding of Rebecca & Barry at Upwaltham Barns. I know I always say it, but it was an awesome day! I hadn’t met Rebecca and Barry as they live some distance away and booked online, so after a few venue and location shots, I popped up to the cottage to meet Rebecca and grab a few getting ready shots. It wasn’t long before Barry arrived, so while Rebecca got into her dress I slipped away to get some shots of him and his best man. The ceremony barn was set up just how I like it, with the lovely soft natural light coming through the window and onto the happy couple. After the ceremony it was time for the good old confetti session, mingles and a few groups before the couple portraits. They didn’t fancy the hills so we stuck around the Barns for these. For the wedding breakfast and speeches I set up several wireless flashes around the barn, providing more light while still looking natural at the same time. In the summer months I will usually take the couple for a few more shots after the meal as the sun goes down, but with it being completely dark on this occasion we needed to try something different. So I set up a couple of flashguns at the entrance to the barns for some cracking night shots before the first dance and celebrations got underway. Master of ceremonies and music throughout the day was provided by my old friend Brian Mole.
